SEED Global Education Announces Advisory Council to Meet International Student Demands

The organization takes action to bridge the gap between universities around the world and prospective study abroad students

Mumbai, India - SEED Global Education, a newly formed higher education marketing and strategy consulting firm whose founders bring over 20 years of global higher education experience, today announced key members to its advisory council.

“We are honored to have industry stalwarts join our inaugural advisory board,” said Co-founder, Paras Fatnani.“These additions will enable us to offer more market leading solutions in the post-pandemic world, leading to an increase in educational opportunities for students around the globe.”

SEED is ramping up its leadership team in anticipation of growing demand for study abroad from students in Asia, Africa and South America.

In order to keep the pulse of a rapidly changing higher education sector and provide the level of service needed for its clients, SEED added the following sector leaders to its advisory council:

~Toby McChesney: The Vice Provost of Graduate Programs for Santa Clara University (SCU), McChesney previously served on the board of directors at the Graduate Management Admissions Council (GMAC) and is currently the Chair Emeritus of the Jesuit Graduate Network Group, Board Chair of BusinessCAS, and Board Member of ETS’s GRE Business School Advisory Council.

~Amanda Barth: Assistant Dean at William & Mary’s Raymond A. Mason School of Business, Barth sets strategy for the admissions team, manages the admissions and scholarship committee and extensive domestic and international recruitment.‍

~Alessandro Guiliani: Managing Director of SDA Bocconi Asia Center, Guiliani serves on the board of the Indian Chamber of Commerce in Italy, as well as the Indo Italian Chamber of Commerce in Mumbai.

~Andrew Rapin: The Director of Graduate Admission at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering, Rapin provides leadership for application and enrollment management. Prior to NYU, Rapin served as Director of Admission at the Columbia University School of Social Work and also as the NYU Tandon liaison for partnerships with foreign governments, NGOs and other agencies.‍

~Brittany G. Wright: The Director of Graduate Enrollment Management and Advising at The George Washington University (GW)School of Engineering & Applied Science (SEAS), Wright manages the Office of Graduate Admissions & Student Services (OGA). Since 2009,Wright has been an active member of NAFSA: Association of International Educators.‍

Despite the ongoing global pandemic, 43% of higher education institutions reported an increase in their international student applications for the2021-2022 academic year, according to a recent report from the Institute of International Education (IIE)’s COVID-19 Snapshot Survey.

"I am a firm believer in expanding access to graduate studies to students around the world, and the level of service that SEED is bringing to the education sector is a game changer,” said McChesney. “I am energized to be a part of a team meeting the demands of this moment, in turn helping students pursue their dreams."

According to IIE’s report, the sector is already beginning to rebound, with 50% of institutions anticipating an increase in study abroad numbers for 2021-2022.This represents a significant shift from last year, when 97% of institutions anticipated declines.
